Spring is in the air, flowers are blooming and days are getting longer in this part of the world. Easter just passed and with it a kaleidoscope of celebrations encompassing the Easter Bunny and Jesus; a funny pairing of chocolate hidden treats and the celebration of the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
There are many that choose to focus solely on one or the other, and some that choose Easter to be one of the rare times they attend church. Faith comes to us in many unexpected ways, and means different things to different people. Faith can mean light, love, trust, hope...... and nurtures your soul. What does faith mean to you?
“See the light in others and treat them as if that’s all you see”. Dr. Wayne Dyer
For me, faith involves God, and leading up to Easter I decided to go on a 10 day spiritual water-fast. For 10 days I drank only water, with my focus on building my faith and relationship with God, and resetting my physical body to rid it of disease. I’m happy to report I survived the 10 days and loved it! It was difficult on a couple occasions, otherwise it was well worth the effort.
“Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase”. Martin Luther King Jr.
As someone who lives with a brain tumour, I live my life on faith as my fuel. I believe that God saved my life when I had been unconscious after two days, it just wasn’t my time to leave Earth yet. I have a message that I’m meant to share with others and I have faith that I’m on the right path to do just that.
“Man says... Show me and I’ll trust you. God says... Trust me and I’ll show you”. Anonymous
